Owner Builder

My name is Johanus Haidner.

I’ve worked in construction management since 2003, and have done several projects in this area. Most of what I did was commercial or very large custom homes, and I was an employee in the company, so I can’t take all the credit. But as a manager, you learn a lot and are involved in all aspects of every project, including the original planning, estimates, contracts and bidding, customer relations, dealing with suppliers and subcontractors, site supervision, timelines, deadlines, bills, invoices, payroll, you name it, I was involved in it in one aspect or another. I can run a commercial or residential construction company completely on my own, and have.

Currently I’m more involved in some other business interests, but expect to go back into construction once my current project is well under way. This is a side project for me, because I has someone ask me about it, so I did the research and found that all of the information available is geared to the American audience. I thoguht I’d start this to see if people are interested in getting some Canadian content into the owner builder market. And then we can really help each other out!
